“I Miss My Daughter”

“I have had better times in my life. The last three years of my thirty-three years of life have been the most turbulent. My daughter’s mother and I split up three years ago, and she ad my daughter live in Delaware now. A huge wedge has been driven between me and my daughter. She just turned 12, and she is in some crucial stages right now.

“My daughter’s mother and I were together for 11 years, but her mother – my daughter’s grandmother – lived under the same roof as us the entire time. I kept telling her for years that I was ready to raise our daughter on our own without her mother’s her daily influence, but it never came to fruition. It finally got to the point where I couldn’t do it anymore, so I left.

“I miss my daughter a lot, but she lives far and she is rejecting me so hard right now. I want her to know that I love her and I miss her. I just wish she would reciprocate though. I call all the time, but I wish she would call me.”
