Good Samaritan Helped Car Fire Victim

“It was late at night, and I had fallen asleep at my girlfriend’s house. I got up and drove home and was really groggy, when I drove through an intersection, and I saw a truck was on fire. There was nobody around, and the truck was in flames, so I pulled over just to make sure no one was hurt, and when I ran over to the truck and saw there was a guy slumped over his steering wheel passed out. There was just glass from his windshield everywhere. He had cuts all over his face and arms, his ear was cut off. A guy from a Hess station nearby came over too, and we helped him out of the car before it was completely engulfed in flames.

“The weird thing is, he wound up later in life dating one of my friends. It was crazy when I realized it. I was like, ‘Dude, I was there! I ran over to your car and got you out!” It was just something I didn’t even think about twice. I knew what I had to do, and I did it. You don’t think twice about things like that. And it was so cool to see him a few years later doing well.”
