Portraits of the Jersey Shore Seaside Park Romances

Seaside Park Romances

Him: “We met in high school. She used to go past my class all the time and I would always ask who that girl was. Eventually her friend connected us with each other, and we have been dating ever since.”

Her: “I am still in high school, graduating this summer, and he is in junior college now. All I know is that I want to I want us to be together always.”

Him: “I am going to community college now. I am looking forward to finishing off school, so I can be a dancer. I started out as a break dancer, and doing typical Hispanic dancing like Salsa. I just recently got into Jazz, Ballet and Contemporary — things I never thought I would do. I first got into dancing after I watched the movie Step Up 3. I was around 12 at the time. At the very beginning of the movie when he was dancing in the park, that was when I knew what I wanted to do. I taught myself originally. I spent the whole year following that doing pushups until I could spin on the palms of my hands. I want to be a part of a dance company eventually.”
